Joseph S. Clark Preparatory High School (Clark Prep) will host its second annual Tremé Day: 5K + Health and Wellness Fair on Saturday, March 29th. The focus of this event is the importance of physical activity and food and nutrition for holistic wellness. This event supports Clark Prep’s Athletic and Enrichment Department – raising funds for uniforms and equipment for our students to ensure the high quality athletic experience they deserve. The Department’s activities are fundamental to school culture; an exemplary environment for students provides both academic excellence and comprehensive enrichment programs because both are vital for students to succeed - at Clark Prep today and in the world tomorrow.
WHEN: Saturday, March 29th 2014, Time: 8:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. (5k begins at 9am, Wellness Fair runs from 9:30am to 1:00pm)
o The 5k race route begins and ends at the school.
o The Wellness Fair will include free blood pressure, glucose, and cholesterol screenings, free chair massages, health seminars, food demos (including a healthy breakfast station), Line Dancing and Zumba sessions, plus activities for children. Various organizations from around the community will provide health related information.
