Clark Bulldogs Basketball featured in NOLA.com!

On Wednesday, January 23rd Clark Prep’s Varsity Boys Basketball Team competed to a close but sure 66-65 victory over Sarah T. Reed. The Clark Prep Bulldogs fought back and forth against the Reed Olympians all throughout the game. The player’s excellence really began to shine in the second half of the game, which as some avid fans will tell you that this is quite the norm for their talented team. The boy’s defensive press proved to cripple Reed’s offense, leading to a lot of turnovers and allowing Prep’s strong shooters like Fredrell Jenkins to get points on the board.

Other key players include Delvin Jackson, Steven Greene, and Wednesday night’s game-changing 3-point shooter Ricky Wilson. Coach Marcell Fisher is optimistic about the team’s future, explaining that the underclassmen’s talent makes their future seasons look bright. The younger Bulldogs are sure to be ready for varsity action next year. We look forward to another shot at the playoffs, and with Wilson being the only senior, building a strong teammate bond with all returning varsity players will help bring out all players potential and lead Clark Prep to a successful season.
