Our expectations for success in life
At Clark, we believe that strict discipline and rigorous character development are the keys to life-long success. Therefore, we have a demerit/merit system based on 15 non-negotiables:
- Attend school every day
- Arrive on time
- Always be in uniform
- No iPods, cell phones, or electronic devices
- No destruction of school property
- No gum chewing
- Must follow classroom rules
- Do homework nightly
- No cheating
- No yelling anywhere
- No foul language at anytime
- No fighting
- Always act respectfully
- Be on task in class
- Get SMART every day
Our students have heard these rules throughout grade school. We enforce them. We hold students accountable for their behavior in order to develop highly effective habits. We get results through self-discipline and hard work.
Get Smart!
We believe in a growth mindset. Therefore, in classes, we expect students to be SMART:
Sit Up - Make Eye Contact – Articulate - Respond appropriately- Track the speaker/Take notes
