Date: Saturday, March 9th 2013 | Time: 8:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. | Location: Joseph S. Clark Preparatory High School

Clark Prep's first annual Tremé Day: 5K + Health and Wellness Fair supports the Athletic and Enrichment Department at Clark Prep – raising funds for the uniforms and equipment for our students to ensure the high quality high school experience they deserve.  The Department’s activities are fundamental to our school culture, and Tremé Day is one of several fundraising initiatives we are implementing to ensure that the Department continues to grow and excel in the years to come.

The fun starts with sign-in and registration at 8:00 a.m. for the 5K run/walk. The race will be kicked off by Kermit Ruffins and Kira Orange-Jones at 9:00 a.m.! The race starts and ends at Clark Prep. The race route will follow Ursulines Avenue towards Bayou St. John and then turn back down towards the school. Clark Prep’s Cross Country runners often use this route for training!

The Health and Wellness Fair that follows will be in Clark Prep’s Gymnasium and Cafeteria, beginning at 9:30 a.m. It will feature wonderful activities and seminars such as fitness classes, free health screenings including vision exams and cholesterol tests, and tons of valuable information booths. There will be food, drinks and plenty of excitement until the event winds down at 1:00 p.m.

There's something for everyone at Tremé Day!

Tremé Day is sponsored by The FourtyFourth Education Initiative. We are thrilled and proud to work with "The FourtyFourth" on this groundbreaking fundraiser and receive their support for many other long-term sustainbility initiatives. Click here for more information.
